Dr. Chitra Dinakar has over 37 yrs of experience in treating children with complex medical problems and complications. She has a unique experience and expertise in management of adolescent(teenager) problems including counselling, and is a nationally well recognised adolescent health care provider of repute. She has been certified in the management of all forms of Paediatric Tuberculosis, in which she has a special interest. She is an enthusiastic teacher and mentor for young paediatric professionals who benefit from her extensive experience in clinical care, academics, training and research. She is a recipient of multiple awards and certifications in the field of Child and Adolescent health.
In keeping with the mission of St. Martha’s hospital, Dr. Chitra is motivated to reach out to those in need, especially the underprivileged and vulnerable. She is a strong advocate for youth engagement, prevention of diseases and motivation of families for adopting healthy stress-free lifestyles which benefit both physical and mental wellbeing.
