Gp Capt (Dr) Sujoy Mitra, an alumnus of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, was commissioned into the Army Medical Corps (AMC) in 1995. He completed his postgraduation in Obstetrics & Gynecology from AFMC in 2003. He completed WHO Fellowship in Gyne Endoscopy from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2007 and Training in Gynecologic Oncology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology (KMIO), Bangalore in 2014. He has served in many peripheral, zonal and tertiary care hospitals in the Armed Forces. He has been practising as a Gynecologic Oncologist in addition to general Obstetrics & Gynecology for past 10 years. He is an associate professor with 10 years’ experience and presently DNB examiner. He also has vast experience in various aspects of hospital administration. He took premature retirement after 28 years of distinguished service in the Armed Forces. He has special interest in laparoscopic surgery, uro-gynecology and high-risk pregnancy esp. gestational diabetes. He has numerous publications in reputed journals. He believes in ethical practice and having a good doctor-patient experience.
