His surgical expertise includes Minimally Invasive (keyhole) Spine Surgery (MIS), adult and paediatric spinal deformity correction (scoliosis and kyphosis), and revision surgeries. Trained at reputed institutions across the country, he holds qualifications in FNB Spine Surgery, MS and DNB Orthopedics. Dr. Sunkappa has presented several award-winning research papers at both national and international forums and remains actively involved in spine-related research. He is also a member of esteemed professional bodies including the Asia Pacific Spine Society, AO Spine, and the Association of Spine Surgeons of India.
